  12. I'm having problems with my USR Courier 33.6 (23 Jan 1996 code). After the
  13. upgrade, the modem no longer recognizes a certain type of ring: I'm on a PBX
  14. and inside calls have a regular ring: *ring* pause *ring*. However, outside
  15. calls have a fast ring: *ring* short pause *ring* pause *ring* short pause
  16. *ring*. The modem no longer answers to those rings, even though distinctive
  17. ring is turned off (S70=0). The light (AA) flashes on receipt of the ring,
  18. in the same cadence, but the modem does not recognize it as a ring. On inside
  19. calls I get a RING A when distinctive ring is turned on. I tried S70=15, 
  20. S70=255, to no avail.

  22. Besides downgrading to the previous code, any suggestions?
