- I'm having problems with my USR Courier 33.6 (23 Jan 1996 code). After the
- upgrade, the modem no longer recognizes a certain type of ring: I'm on a PBX
- and inside calls have a regular ring: *ring* pause *ring*. However, outside
- calls have a fast ring: *ring* short pause *ring* pause *ring* short pause
- *ring*. The modem no longer answers to those rings, even though distinctive
- ring is turned off (S70=0). The light (AA) flashes on receipt of the ring,
- in the same cadence, but the modem does not recognize it as a ring. On inside
- calls I get a RING A when distinctive ring is turned on. I tried S70=15,
- S70=255, to no avail.
-
- Besides downgrading to the previous code, any suggestions?

- PS: I'm using a daughterboard version of the Courier.
